This is a really lovely album that has a 70s cosmic country vibe, but also 70s loner acid folk. It's remindful, at times, of the incredible Relatively Clean Rivers album, but also other obscure titles like Food's 'Forever Is A Dream' ("Ripley" is/has to be a nod to "Lady Miss Ann" on the Food album). Definitely well worth picking up the physical LP as the songs and subtle sonic textures come alive on record when given space to breathe.

Mt Mountajn, for all of their distinctiveness, still continue to progress and evolve their sound. This is a sinewy, slightly leaner beast than previous releases. The songs are briefer, slightly more melodic; perhaps the influence of Stephen Bailey’s solo explorations? The songs are still iterations of tension and gloom. Mt Mountain have honed their music into a uniquely powerful form of minimalist psychedelic brutalism. Theirs is a menacing, looping drone, always threatening to explode.
